Website Design
Nowadays an interesting, well-presented Website is very important to attract new customers and to keep existing customers informed of your special offers and improved services. A website has to have good graphic design as well as being technically well planned.
We recognise the importance of a website as part of the marketing of a company and take great care to understand the business needs and the intended audience before commencing a design.

We have many software tools and web design facilities which can give you a really interesting web presence.
We can even create a design such that different images or information sections appear each time a person opens the home page. It is possible to have images or banners which are related to the days of the week / months of the year or seasons. Even music if you like. This can add interest to the site and encourage repeat visits.

Stop Press!
We can add a 'Latest News' / 'Reminder' section on the home page for which content could be prepared ahead of time and set to appear on a particular date automatically.

Designed to suit many browsers
We monitor the current statistics on the use of the Web and which browsers and screen resolutions are most common.
We design websites to be accessible to users with each of MS Internet Explorer, Mozilla FireFox, Netscape Navigator and Opera on a PC and also Internet Explorer and Safari on a Mac.
In addition we test at the most common screen resolutions to check that the site maintains a good presentation.

Programming Services: We can offer application programming to add functionality to your website. These are programs which sit on your hosting server and provide services beyond the straight information presentation of a regular webpage. An example of this is a mail form which allows people to send you mail simply by filling in a set of boxes.
An additional service we can now offer is to create web pages which are suitable for a small screen - eg a PocketPC or a mobile phone. We can even write a special program to access an existing full sized web page, extract just the important information and then reformat for a small screen. For example we've already provided a solution for a taxi firm to display real-time Airport Arrival and Departure infomation on a hand held device.

We offer the following scale of charges:
- Initial website design which includes all of the style, colour and layout discussion. Draft designs for approval (until you’re happy with it), the loading of the design onto a test server during development and then all of the associated work to upload and configure the completed site (of however many pages) to your own web server. Assistance with transferring your domain name to your ISP hosting service and some configuration work to be able to send and receive email from your office computer using your new domain name. All this including the first web page for just £300.
- Each additional page at around £85 each (typically 2-3 screen-fulls with up to five included images). Within this price I'd be able to do image manipulation to suit the website and some scanning work if required.
- A Webmail form page involves not only a web page but also an active application to process the data in the form and send it on as an email – so really it’s equivalent to a two page design. £170.
- Redirection pages which can be installed in the webspace for associated domain names and take a user to the right place in your existing website - £50 each.
Updates to your website can arrive at our office by any means - typically email.
We would aim to complete most updates within one working day and larger changes by agreement.
Requested changes to web pages would depend on complexity but would be between £35 for a simple change (and a full retest of the site) up to £85 if the changes make it similar to the creation of a new page. We're happy to be flexible in this area and bundle up a group of changes into a single change fee.

Stand-Alone Version Of Your Website
In addition we can create a stand-alone version of your website which can be installed on a laptop or other computer and used at an exhibition or at a sales meeting with your clients. This would be an initial cost equivalent to a single webpage - £85.
Updates to the standalone version would only cost an extra £50 on top of whatever charge there was for the update to the main website

We have a lot of experience in helping companies set up domain names and transfer them from one provider to another.

When considering a set of choices for a suitable domain name we look at the names used by competitors in the same field, companies registered with the same or similar names, trademarks and of course issues like spelling variants and hyphenation.

Once a name is chosen we can advise on the most economic way of obtaining it and getting it set up in your webspace ready for your website and email to be configured.

The images you use on your website are very important to convey the nature of your business to your customers. High quality, interesting photographs are crucial in making your website and other marketing material visually appealing.
We can use almost any images you already have or we could take more photos which can become part of your promotional material. Alternatively we have a contact with a very good freelance photographer working out of Otley, West Yorkshire.

Translation Services
We have access to native speaking translators from many countries so that you can have your web pages or product specifications in the language of your customer. We've had some interesting translation challenges - but we've not been beaten yet!

We can now offer the design of business cards and have a good link to a colour printing service. We can provide you with a business card design which matches your web design - including colour scheme and images.
